About Me
My name is James Cisco and I'm a Commonwealth appointed civil marriage celebrant. I studied theatre performance and stagecraft at university in the US and then worked professionally as a (mostly) full time musician - formerly with Cisco Caesar and The Excellent Smithers. I've been married for over 20 years and became a marriage celebrant so I could marry some friends who wanted a celebrant that could relate to their circumstances - marrying someone from a different country - and I found a real affinity for the craft. I love weddings, I love being married and I love dressing up in a good suit. I believe that a wedding ceremony should never be boring or awkward and use my 30 years of performance and public speaking experience to ensure the wedding party and guests enjoy every moment. I am based on the northern edge of Melbourne within a stones throw of the lush Macedon and Yarra Valley areas. I live with my darling wife and our much beloved dogs - Bonnie and Becky. I’m into making music, growing my own fruit and veggies, brewing my own beer and rescuing hard case dogs. I make a mean old school hash brown and know how to craft a good coffee (or how to spot one).
